Pokemon Set 6 by PhantomSeptember Pokemon Set 6 by PhantomSeptember
I'm sure you'll all be relieved to learn that this is the last Pokemon set. There's one more prompt, but I'm turning it into a painting, so it might take awhile.

Day 26 Pokemon with Human Origins: Since in order to obtain Aerodactyl a fossil of an Aerodactyl must be cloned in a human labratory, I think it counts for this prompt.

Day 27 Favourite Single-stage Pokemon: Heatmor. What could be better than a fire-breathing anteater?

Day 28 Cutest Pokemon: Jiggypuff. Sometimes when I can't get to sleep, I'll still hum the Jigglypuff song to myself. :/

Day 29 Scariest Pokemon: Darmanitan. I don't like things that are monkey-like or ape-like.

Day 30 Most Badass: Mewtwo, of course. I have a theory as to why Mewtwos hands and feet look the way they do in the official design. Very early on in Mewtwos physical development (before he met Ambertwo), I think the scientists declawed him. The human equivalent of being declawed is having ones last knuckle, just below the fingernail, amputated. His developing body was left physically defenceless and so very strong psychic powers developed in order to compensate.
Or maybe the concept artists just thought little round fingers looked cool. 8D

I knew I'd see a Mewtwo from you eventually! I like your theory about his fingers. I'd like to think that they do put that much thought into their designs.

You're a fan of Jigglypuff, eh? I can't stand her. X'D That might just be because I get eradicated by Jigglypuff every time I play Super Smash Bros., though...

I've always thought of Jigglypuff as a he. *sticks to this opinion* I love how sassy he is and how not only can he slap the crap out of people but he can put them to sleep too. All he wants to do is sing, but no one can ever hear his whole song. He is a tragic pink balloon Pokemon. The only thing I don't like is the... pinkness.

I usually refer to Pokemon as male, but Jigglypuff is a severe exception to that particular rule of mine... Though I rather like the idea of a tragic male Jigglypuff.

Your next challenge: Draw a male Jigglypuff gijinka. A Gothic male Jigglypuff gijinka. :dummy:

XDD I might at some point, but I don't want to get stuck in a fan art rut. I've been doing a lot of writing, and I have some new illustration ideas.

There's nothin' wrong with fanart. The best artwork I do is generally fanart. But the stuff that comes out of your head is GORGEOUS, so I can see why you'd call excessive fanart a 'rut.'

Mnnn... I dunno. There's nothing wrong with fanart, but it takes away the creative element of design. One doesn't have to think of what clothes or appearance the character has, because these things have already been decided by someone else. Being able to conceptualise things from start to finish without any pre-established model is an important skill that can be neglected if one does too much fanart.
