I'm trying to improve on how I colour. I'm not sure if I'm getting better or worse. Perhaps going thicker with colours is not the answer. Any opinions?
This is Le. In her spare time, she saves policemen in distress and bothers stuffy vampires. I promise there is a good reason for the shades. There's something wrong with her eyes that makes her very noticeable, so she keeps them covered.
A character of mine I haven't drawn before. I've had her for over ten years, but I've always been worried I wouldn't do a very good job drawing her. It's a vicious cycle of not practising different ethnicities because of being bad at drawing them, and being bad at drawing different ethnicities because of not practising. I am trying to break this cycle.
The pose looked so fluid in the pencils. Now it looks really static.

Was gonna say that the pose itself looked a tad off. Maybe a bit rigid, but all in all this is great. Once again a lot of detail and I actually really like the watercolor type coloring you do. The thicker colors themselves give this more life I feel. Keep at it!
Also not sure if it was intentional but I still like it's outcome of how you seem to blend flat and depth in your backgrounds.
